I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 |
To unite with churches and other Christian organizations to totally transform inner city communities through the love of Jesus Christ.
There
have been so many miracles this month that to limit it to just
one would be impossible. So
we thought we could give you a miracle summary and let God be
glorified by all He has done.
1st The Leadership Team went on their first outreach
to Portsmouth where they blessed the people by performing their
dance, handing out hamburgers and hotdogs, and distributing
tracks. We wish you
could have seen their joy in giving out the food to others.
With this being their first outreach, we had talked to
them about going to show the love of Jesus and not to receive
blessings. However, as project kids, we didn’t know how they would
do giving so much away. But
to our amazement, the love of God touched the kids to the point
where we couldn’t get them to stop serving.
Then, at the end, they refused to leave until all of
their tracks were given away.
The outreach had such an impact on the Leadership Team
and completely changed their perspective on giving to the point
where Chrissy said, “I learned it is far better to give out
hamburgers than to eat them.”
And Lateisha said, “I want to do outreach everyday of
my life, and I want to go to other places to tell them about
Jesus.”

2nd United In Him received a couch for the prayer room, a TV/VCR combo to use during Bible study for the very small children who attend. We also received Bible videos, notebooks, and even a digital camera.
3rd
Three girls, Miangel, Alisha, and Alexis, accepted Jesus at
prayer on Monday night and have been attending church, Bible
study, and prayer.
4th United In Him didn’t receive a van. We know this doesn’t sound like a miracle, but keep reading for God’s timing is so perfect and His direction so clear -- As you know, we really need a van to help transport the children to church on Sunday. We went to look at one that had many miles on it, but looked in prime condition. Before we went, we prayed, “Lord you know that we don’t know anything about cars, so if this isn’t your perfect provision for us, we ask you that even as we are driving it that it will break down or we would have the discernment to know that something is wrong with it.” Our God is so awesome! The van that had just been driven last night wouldn’t even start. The man even tried to jump start it!
5th A third grader, when asked, “How has God been wonderful to you?” responded saying, “God answers MY PRAYERS.” And He does! She has been faithfully praying for her mother. Just this month, her mother started going to church and to weekly Bible study. She has also given up smoking, drinking, found a new job, and is getting ready to go back to school. The love of God is radically transforming her life and she has now become very bold in her commitment to change. To our surprise one night after prayer, the child asked us if we would come up to read the sign posted on her door which said, “Do Not Smoke in this house…Keep it outside.”
6th A single mother needed help in paying her rent this month. United In Him prayed about how to help her, and God placed the EXACT same amount on our hearts in which to give to her.
7th
We have been talking to the children about praying for their
enemies. This week
we challenged them to pick one person to pray for, and
encouraged them to show them the love of Jesus.
After 1 day of prayer, Ieisha said, “My enemy has now
become my friend.” Praise
God!
8th
Rayquan (7yrs old) was lost from 3:30 - 9:00 p.m. on Monday
night when one of the United In Him volunteers began praying in
the Spirit and found him 1 mile from his home.
