UIH Step Team Intensifies

This month three teens and two 5th graders were chosen to be a part of the highly advanced UIH Step Team.  This team practices 4 times a week and it shows.

These young teens are progressing so quickly and have already learned 8 different step routines in the past month.

Our team: Nene, ShawnDera, Tanisha, Danielle, and Milo.  This team is exceptional and 90% of the team attends weekly bible studies and is working toward honor roll.

We are also excited that seven of our girls are going to be a part of the dance team at our Calvary Revival Church where Ashley is going to be their instructor.

We have seen how much dance/step has impacted the lives of our teens.  Literally, the more their dance skill is enhanced, the better they feel about themselves, the higher their grades, and the more they read their Bibles and pray during the week.

James Joins the Ministry

Higher Learning has been extraordinary this month as we have had at least 5 volunteers almost every day!  With over 15 children and 10 teenagers we desperately needed help.  God brought us James just in time!

James recently rededicated his life to Christ and has become an awesome testimony especially for the teens and young boys.  Since the first day James volunteered he has been so faithful to come everyday.

The children and teens have great respect for him and look up to him as he has made so many changes in his life over the past few months.  The most amazing miracle is seeing the destructive patterns in James’ life broken.  He stopped drinking, smoking and hanging out with the wrong crowd.

UIH ARMY ChallengeWe are so proud of James and praise God for bringing him into our lives.  He has literally become part of our UIH family!

The competition was fierce between the Private and Private First Class Squads as each attempted to build the tallest all candy tower.  Squads were given additional resources if they answered bible related questions correctly.
