To unite with churches and other Christian organizations to totally transform inner city communities through the love of Jesus Christ.

For the past 3 years we have been praying that God would connect us with the people who have great influence in Twin Canal.  We have seen mighty miracles where children’s lives have been touched by the power of God, but this month God gave a precious gift.

Over the past year we have developed a friendship with Shaheatta, a beautiful single mother of 3.  We didn’t do anything extraordinary, we simply asked God to show us how we could demonstrate His love to her, and He began opening doors. 

First, Shaheatta found out that she was pregnant with her 4^th child and decided that she was going to get an abortion.  She went to the clinic, but the baby’s father didn’t show up with the money.  Discouraged, but not defeated she came up with some of the money, only to come home and find her electricity cut off.

God then supernaturally provided United In Him with an additional $500; thereby enabling us to cover ½ of the electric bill and then Calvary Revival Church paid the remaining balance.  We all stood in awe of how God came through for her.  Never have we seen God move so quickly, but God knew that Shaheatta needed to see His power to transform every circumstance.

We all rejoiced to see the power restored, but at the same time Shaheatta continued to feel overwhelmed.  Almost everyone in her life was telling her that she shouldn’t have another child, but something inside of her keep bringing her back to us to discuss her decision.  She started coming to church and to CARE group, but still felt hopeless as she looked at her inability to care for another child.

Overwhelmed, Shaheatta scheduled an appointment for the abortion on Thursday and asked Tunika, a mutual friend and strong Christian, to take her.  However on Wednesday, Tunika’s car broke down which required her to walk through a park where Jackie was running the dogs.  After discussing the matter, Tunika decided that under no circumstance would she take anyone to get an abortion, and knew without a doubt that God had allowed her car to break down to protect this unborn child.

That night we prayed with Shaheatta and the peace of God came upon her and she decided to keep the baby.

However; the next morning, the baby’s father showed up to take her to the clinic as well as to pay for the abortion, and Shaheatta found herself too weak to resist this man.  She resolved just to get it over with once and for all.  She called Tunika to tell her that she was on her way to the clinic. Quickly we jumped in the car and went to the clinic praying every minute that it would not be too late.

Divine intervention had caused Shaheatta to be detained 3 times forcing her to return to the parking lot, and it was on her final trip up the elevator that she met us.  At that moment she literally melted as she didn’t want to harm the child and God supernaturally gave her the courage to keep her child.

Ten days later on October 30^th, Shaheatta gave her life to the LORD at Calvary Revival Church.  Since that day she has started reading the Word, coming to prayer, bible study, and church.  God has also completely delivered her from smoking and put a deep love in her heart for her unborn child. 

We praise God everyday for Shaheatta.  She is truly a gift from God as He has brought her out of the darkness and into the light.  We count it a privilege to teach and train her up in righteousness.  We know that God divinely intervened on her behalf and placed in our lives a woman of great influence. Shaheatta is already sharing with others how Jesus has changed her and now more than ever our children believe that their mothers can stop smoking and drinking because of her example.  Shaheatta has a special gift of being able to teach, preach, and influence countless lives as she testifies of all that God has done in her life.
