3rd Year Anniversay Celebration

Over 50 adults and children attended our 3rd year anniversary party where we honored 95% of our students with academic awards, attendance awards, exemplary Bible study awards, participation awards, and UIH ARMY awards.  During the celebration we also had the formal installation of Tanicia Johnson as a 2nd Lieutenant in the UIH ARMY.

Becoming an officer is very difficult to achieve and maintain.  Tanicia had to pass 3 Bible knowledge tests, memorize 20 scriptures, demonstrate exemplary leadership skills and achieve honor roll.  At this rank she must maintain a log of 25 minutes of Bible reading daily and pray everyday.  We are so proud of Tanicia for her hard work, leadership skills, and positive attitude.

We would also like to honor two of our students who both received student of the month:  Alicia and Alexis Cheresnowsky.

Financial Seminar

Eight women came to the amazing financial seminar given by Angel Hicks from National City Mortgage.   Angel encouraged the women to get out of debt by showing them practical ways to manage their money and increase their credit score.  It was a very informative seminar and all of the women were very thankful that they attended. They are making the first steps to financial freedom!

The Empowerment Center

Our vision is to utilize the land outlined on the right to train, equip and empower hundreds of children, teens and adults from Twin Canal (center of picture) to walk in the power of Jesus Christ.  Currently, all of our programs are located the Outreach Center (the small house on the left), but there is a great need for a facility to hold the growing number adults and children who are being transformed through this ministry.

The Empowerment Center is the answer to the great need for additional space.  It is our vision for this center to be open 24 hours a day for individuals who need a safe haven.  We envision it being the future CRC-Virginia Beach, fully equipped with a basketball court, fitness center, dance and recording studio, a computer center and games rooms.  This location will host GED classes as well as Educational, Fitness, & Dance classes.  It will also provide job skill training in carpentry, mechanics, computers, etc.
