Please continue to pray that God would totally transform all of Twin Canal and the surrounding communities! |
To unite with churches and other Christian organizations to totally transform inner city communities through the love of Jesus Christ.
On APRIL 16th we partnered with BLOKheadz ministry and Regent University Student Alumni Ambassadors to host a 3 on 3 basketball tournament in Twin Canal. In spite of the windy conditions, over 250 people attended the outreach event.
BLOKheadz ministry provided the rappers, DJ and emcee, while Regent University Student Alumni Association provided many of the volunteers, basketballs and nets, food, water, and soda, and many other necessary items. God literally orchestrated every aspect of this event as He brought these ministries together with one common goal of reaching the lost for Christ.
During the tournament, everyone would agree that Brother “Q”, the emcee, exemplified the love of Christ as he ministered the Word. He has such a spirit of joy, excitement, and love that the children flocked to him every time he picked up the microphone. Likewise, adults sat near the stage just to see what “Q” might say next. Everyone laughed, felt encouraged and had a great time.
However, that was just the beginning. After the tournament James Taylor (Just Boogie), who had facilitated and helped to referee the tournament, stepped on stage to give the final message and altar call. It was so powerful to see all of the children and adults respond to the Spirit of God. Many were touched by his powerful testimony of how he had grown up in Section 8 housing with parents who were crack addicts; yet God had rescued him and given him a new life. We know that many seeds were planted in the hearts of men and that at the Summer Festival on July 9th God is going to send revival to His land!
COMING SOON THE 2nd ANNUAL SUMMER FESTIVAL JULY 9TH
A NEW CAR. Our mechanic Ron Scott, a single father who has full custody of his 2-year old girl Cheyenne, donated a car to United In Him. He knew that we needed to turn in our leased vehicle, so he went out and found a car, fixed it, put new brakes and tires on it and gave it to us. God is truly pouring out blessing upon blessing on us right now, as the story doesn’t end there.
Then last week he told us that he had found something. We were so excited and could not believe that God would bless us with a car and a van all in the same month! Our mechanic came out and drove the van and said, “I have never seen an Aerostar that runs this well.”
All of the children have been praying for 2 years for a VAN. They knew that with our limited transportation we were unable to take them to many events, but now we can begin to plan our summer camp schedule, reward outings, as well provide additional transportation to church. We stand in AWE of our God who hears our prayers and provides for His children in abundance.
We gave the truck that was donated last month to a single mom in Twin Canal who has been without transportation for a year. She has an eleven-year-old daughter, a one-year-old son, and is expecting a little girl in the Spring. The Sunday morning prior she he had lifted her heart to God asking Him to provide her with transportation and God answered! |
