© Since Ash Wednesday Reggie has lost over 77 pounds on the detox program. Praise God! © 10 individuals began Class #2 of the 52 day transformation and all are seeing amazing results. © One woman who has been suffering for many years with extreme fatigue no longer needs to take a nap during the day and is experiencing tremendous energy everyday! © Received software for Word and Power Point © Transportation has been provided weekly to support all the people who want to attend church. © New volunteers the Lord has provided and especially for David our new boys’ Bible study leader.

To unite with churches and other Christian organizations to totally transform inner city communities through the love of Jesus Christ.
This month United In Him received the awesome privilege of joining Calvary Revival Church to bless low-income children who do not have the opportunity to experience many of the wonderful attractions located in this area. On April 30th, twelve children from Twin Canal departed their home at 5:30 a.m. to join the other 35 children on a beautiful bus for a field trip to North Carolina. It was a spectacular day as we visited the aquarium, had lunch and played on the beach, saw the lost colony, and then had pizza for dinner.
For many of the children this was their first time traveling outside of Virginia, and they were so excited to be able to see the aquarium complete with alligators, sharks, sea turtles, eels, snakes, and so many other animals the Lord has created. However, the most spectacular part was being able to actually touch the Stingrays.
We were able to eat right on the beach, and many of the children could not resist the temptation of getting their feet wet!

We praise God daily for David Johnson from A Closer Walk church who will be leading our boys’ Bible study each Saturday. We have been praying for over a year for men who could reach both the young boys and the men in Twin Canal, and we can honestly say it was worth the wait! David has a tremendous passion for the Lord and a powerful testimony of how God delivered him from a life a crime, alcohol, and many other things to serve the Living God.
David knows the streets as he grew up in a project where drugs, violence, and crime were a way of life. David was no exception and learned at a very early age how to make “easy” money. Thus, during his late teens he was stealing and reselling car stereos, rims, & car parts. This became his primary source of income. Then God stepped in:
In David’s words, “One night my friend and I were drinking, smoking, and watching ungodly movies and in that moment God came into the room and we both just looked at each other and said, ‘What are we doing? Why are we living like this?’ From that time on, God began to change everything in my life.”
That was 6 years ago, and since that time God has poured out such an anointing on David to teach young people that Jesus is the ONLY way. David’s life is a living testimony of how Jesus changes everything! As David said, “Once you embrace Jesus you will no longer think the same, act the same, or live the same.”
David has also been touched by the power of God to spread Christian rap music to the nations, and was just recently asked by the city of Virginia Beach to be a part of the community-wide events for the summer. We have seen that through Christian rap music the message of Jesus is speaking to the hearts of the young people and reaching the next generation.
we might take the message of the Gospel to the entire nation. For all that God has done in the past is just a taste of all that lies ahead in the future! Even now God is beginning to open the floodgates of heaven and pour out such anointing that others will come and say, “Only God could have accomplished this great miracle here in Twin Canal!” So please keep us in your prayers, God is moving! |
