To unite with churches and other Christian organizations to totally transform inner city communities through the love of Jesus Christ.
On Saturday, July 17th United In Him will be partnering with many local churches and Christian organizations to proclaim the Gospel at the first Summer Festival in Twin Canal. We are excited about how God has united so many churches as we have over 70 volunteers who will be helping with this outreach. We would love to have any of you who are in the area to come out and support this event from 12:00-6:30. However, if you are unable to attend, please pray for God’s Spirit to transform the lives of men, women and children specifically on that day. We will be hosting many Christian rappers, hip-hop choirs, dance teams, and two children’s ministries complete with puppets and drama. The children are extremely excited as there will be free pizza, chips, and water as well as a moonwalk, a bungee run, nail painting and face painting. For the men and teen boys we are hosting the first annual basketball tournament and for the girls, the first annual Double-Dutch tournament complete with trophies. All throughout the day the Word will be proclaimed, but we are honored to have Pastor Chris McLeod as the final speaker at this event. Please pray that hundreds will attend and that their lives will be changed forever. We desire to see the Word sown into people’s lives, but we believe that the “harvest is ripe” and that the time of salvation is now. Please pray that through this outreach God’s Spirit would set the people on fire and that revival would begin in Twin Canal. We no longer want to talk or hear about revival, we want to experience revival. God said,
If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then, I will hear from Heaven and HEAL their LAND.
As you know God enlarged our tent and expanded the vision of United In Him during January of this year when He revealed to us the vision of the Empowerment Center. We pondered in our hearts how God would ever bring this multimillion-dollar vision to pass, but in faith we embraced the vision, knowing that our God is the ruler of all the earth and that He raises up kings and brings down kingdoms; therefore, what He determines will surely come to pass.
God began putting some of the pieces into place this month as He revealed to us the land where we are to build the Empowerment Center. It is a plot of land (7 Acres) that is directly across the canal from Twin Canal. He showed us that we are to build a bridge over the Canal so that the people have a direct path out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. Currently this land is owned by the Church of the Holy Apostles and a Montessori School, but “God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or imagine” (Eph 3:20), so we are just standing in faith knowing that He will make a way where there seems to be no way. Also on June 13th, we officially established Hosanna House as part of this ministry. It will start as a home for girls and then eventually expand to a facility for boys and unwanted children.
Hosanna House Vision StatementTo minister to children who have experienced abuse or have become wards of the State by providing a therapeutic foster home/orphanage equipped to provide healing for children through the transforming power of Jesus Christ and ultimately to educate them so that they may teach others in Hampton Roads, Virginia, and all throughout the nations on the prevention of all sexual & physical abuse. Hosanna House Mission StatementTo provide a home for sexually and emotionally abused children specifically targeting those who have become wards of the State where each child will experience the love of God in a farm setting resulting in emotional healing, self-worth and life purpose. Each child will assist in the care of abandoned, abused and rejected animals; thereby allowing both the children and animals to grow and develop the ability to care for, value, and respect life empowering them to live productive lives that will impact society through the power of Jesus Christ.
