On Saturday, July 17th United In Him hosted the first annual Summer Festival in Twin Canal where over 400 people attended including over 100 volunteers who came together from 12 local churches and ministries to LIFT UP THE NAME OF JESUS and PROCLAIM THAT HE ALONE IS LORD! 

 

We cannot take any credit for all the miracles that happened during this outreach.  We can only proclaim that we sought the LORD and He answered:

 

Miracles Prior to the Event

 

U       We needed 12 trophies for the basketball tournaments and one for the double Dutch tournament. Original cost was $265, but Virginia Art Metal and Plastic Company donated them for a total of $65.

 

U       We wanted blow up toys for the children and ONE MONTH prior to the event; we received a donation specifically designated for these toys.

 

U       We needed a stage for the sound system and dancers and

     ONE WEEK before the event, CBN donated a stage for FREE!

 

U       We needed a large tent for the preaching of the Word and THREE DAYS prior to the Summer Festival, Rock Church allowed us to use their very large tent for FREE!

 

U       We needed a large truck to pick up the tent from Rock Church and the NIGHT BEFORE God gave us a truck.

 

U       We needed 10 volunteers to help put up the tent and the NIGHT BEFORE God provided all the helpers, but also gave us two men who were highly skilled in tent set-up.

 

U       We needed sludge hammers, stopwatches, scorekeepers and even referees. Just hours before the event the LORD provided!

 

 

Miracles of Salvation and Rededication

 

Miracles during the outreach:

 

  • After distributing over 700 bottles of water, Christian Chapel and other churches went out and purchased additional water.

 

 

 

  • Dance teams, drama teams and puppet ministries joined together to proclaim the message of hope and freedom through the power of JESUS CHRIST.

 

 

 

·          During the basketball tournament there was no fighting and no team was disqualified and in all of the four age divisions the winners came from Twin Canal.  (See photos online at www.unitedinhim.org)

 

 

 

  • We needed more power for the blow up toys and within 30 minutes one of our volunteers brought us a generator.

 

 

 

  • We distributed hundreds of clothes, toiletries, and bags of food including 35 pizzas and an assortment of chips.

 

 

 

  • Over 30 girls and one boy participated in the Double Dutch contest.

 

            

THE PREACHING OF THE WORD

 

Pastor Chris McLeod from Closer Walk Christian Fellowship delivered a message spoken from the very throne room of God on how this generation has been deceived by the enemy.  Over 100 men, women and children went forward and were kneeling at the foot of the stage.  Many wept as they said the prayer of salvation; some for the first time and others rededicating their life to Christ.

 

Jesus is changing the hearts in Twin Canal and He has shown us that instead of trying to take the people to the church, it is time to take the Church to the people. We know that the people are crying out for change, and want to hear from God but so often the enemy prevents them from attending

Church.  So now, LORD willing, the church

is coming to their own backyard.

 

Pray for Brother David Johnson and the

start up of The Church in Twin Canal

that God will do wonders and send forth

His Word and heal the LAND.
