To unite with churches and other Christian organizations to totally transform inner city communities through the love of Jesus Christ.
Leadership Camp was AWESOME! Almost all of the leaders completed the stringent requirements and were treated by Calvary Revival Church to a day at Busch Gardens, a local amusement park. Most of the leaders had never been on a
A special thank you to Joy Ministries who gave out 104 backpacks filled with school supplies for the children. Even more amazing was the individualized ministry they did while they were in Twin Canal.
Joy Ministries pulled up in a huge charter bus filled with school supplies. Then, they grouped the families into groups of 15-20 and brought them into the bus where they gave a Gospel presentation and provided small group ministry. Many parents were touched by their generosity as well as the love that their volunteers had for Christ. Likewise, the students were so excited about the huge selection of backpacks and were happy to model them for us.
Another special thank you to Christian Chapel who provided many additional supplies for the children as well as enabled us to meet many of the immediate needs of the children coming in from New Orleans.
We praise God for how many have joined together to help those who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina. We know that this is a time for the church to demonstrate His love for others in any way possible. Know that we stand together in prayer with everyone who has been displaced during this time, and if you know of anyone in need in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, or the surrounding areas please contact us. We will try to assist them in any way possible.
