Scripture of the Month Isaiah 46:10-11
I make known the end from The beginning, From ancient times, What still is to come. I say: My purpose will stand, And I will do all that I please. From the East I summon a Bird of prey; From a far off land, A man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, That will I bring about; What I have planned, That will I do.

To unite with churches and other Christian organizations to totally transform inner city communities through the love of Jesus Christ.
This year started out with a bang as the students have been coming over for Higher Learning - the homework help program. We have been averaging over 45 students per week from 2nd to 9th grade. This year the boys are outnumbering the girls, which is really amazing! The boys are eager to learn and now consider it “cool” to come to Higher Learning. This is a huge breakthrough, as most of the boys didn’t care much about their academics last year.
We also have implemented a reward system this year where the students receive a special treat if they chose to read the Bible. All children are required to read for 10 minutes after their homework is checked, but if they choose to read the Bible we assign them a specific passage. After they are finished they are required to come and explain it to us. This ensures that they read it and understand the meaning behind it. This has been a huge success as 95% of the students choose to read the Bible daily. J
Another addition to the Higher
On Saturday, September 4th we were at Bible study teaching the children and Brother Ron said, “I really want to be able to give the kids some school supplies.” We all agreed and asked God to help us find a way to give the kids what they needed to start school.
The very next day, Lynne Zotzmann from Reaching Our Communities, Inc. contacted us asking if we needed some school supplies for the children. J
Monday, Reaching Our Communities came to Twin Canal, gave a Gospel presentation and distributed 45 bags of school supplies along with a couple of backpacks. It was so exciting to see God answer our prayer and to know that the children had everything they needed to start school the next day.
To God be the Glory!
Our ladies Bible study is awesome! We have 4 ladies who attend consistently and are truly seeking to know the will of God for their lives. We see tremendous leadership qualities in them and pray that God would continue to work miracles in each of these ladies as they break free from the bondages of their past.
Please pray that God would empower them and free them from every sin, which so easily entangles. Also pray that our Monday night Bible study would grow and that and that all of the ladies would begin attending church on a regular basis.
