All For His Glory

June has been such an incredible month for United In Him!  We have seen the overwhelming favor of God and are humbled that God would allow us the awesome privilege of serving Him full time.  As some of you have heard, I (Vicki) have resigned from my teaching position at Parkway Elementary and have become the full-time Director of United In Him.  It was a Sunday morning before church when I was praying that I heard Him say, “It’s time.”  My response was, “Ok LORD, I’m ready.”  When I arrived at church with all the children, someone handed me a check for the ministry in the amount of $900!  God was confirming to me that He would always be my Jehovah Jirah supplying my every need.  I’m looking forward to experiencing His providential blessings daily!

There is so much happening here!  Once again we are only able to give you a small glimpse of all the miracles God has done this month, but we pray that you will be encouraged and strengthened in your faith to know that God is no respecter of persons.  He can use anyone who is open to hear His voice and say, “Yes, Jesus I will follow You wherever You lead.”

Answered Prayer: We were blessed with 40 hams and 40 bags of groceries.  This was such an awesome answer to prayer as we have been asking the Lord to open the hearts of the adults of Twin Canal.  God has been transforming the lives of the children, but we know that total transformation can only come when the entire family is touched by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  As we will be receiving this food monthly, pray that the adults will see His love and His hand of provision for them.

Pray for Cynthia. As we were delivering the food, we wanted to bless her and her family but had no idea where she lived.  But when we approached the building, she walked out of her apartment.  Praise God!

                  Life Transformation

Pray for Pasafanie. This is a miracle that even we cannot believe.  Pasafanie was put in my 4th grade class two years ago because of extreme disciplinary problems.  She was disruptive, disrespectful and at times uncontrollable.  She went to church many times, but after two years of seeing no change, I questioned what it would take to reach this child.

She had been coming to my classroom every morning before school started for months, until one day at church she was so disrespectful that I had to once again speak to her mother about her behavior.  She got so angry that she didn’t speak to me for 3 months.  For those of you who are mothers, you know how hard that is!  I wanted to put my arm around her and let her know how much I loved her, but this time I had to let her go and trust that God would somehow do a miracle.  And He did!

Pasafanie has become the most amazing young woman.  She has joined the leadership team and her prayer last night was, Lord I thank you for I know that you have brought me from a very long way.  You didn’t have to come here and save me but you did and now I want to be a servant just like You.  So, when others laugh at me, I am just going to tell them that I know God has big plans for my life.”

A glimpse of God’s Glory:  Last week, we took some of the kids to the beach as a reward for good behavior.  The kids were having fun throwing sand on one another.  But at one point, the game became too overwhelming for Lateisha.  She sat down in the sand and didn’t move.  I called her to come and sit by me, but she didn’t get up.  Pasafanie assessed the situation and went and knelt in front of Lateisha.  A few minutes later, Lateisha smiled and began covering Pasafanie with sand.  You see other kids (specifically project kids) would say:  “Get up, you are fine.”  But Pasafanie knelt down to the true heart of the matter. Other kids say, “But I wanted that Popsicle”!  Pasafanie says, “Here you can have mine.”

Other kids say, “I want the easy job.”  Pasafanie says, “I will do the hard job.”  Other kids say, “I’m going to try to be a good leader.”  Pasafanie says, “LORD, I believe you will make me a great leader, because I trust in You.”

Please pray for Pasafanie as she has made such a radical commitment to Jesus.  She has become the leader of the leadership team because of her awesome love for Jesus.
