Forming Relationships Is Essential in Nurturing and Directing Students.
FRIENDS is a partnership between area churches and local elementary schools that promotes character growth, self esteem, and individuality through a one-on-one Christian based mentoring program. Each mentor pair meets after school once a week and then the students ride the after school activity bus home. |

The program has been so successful in that the first year it was established it won the exemplary partnership award given by the superintendent of schools! The award is significant because it puts the superintendent's stamp of approval of the program, which opens the doors for other schools to consider this Christian-based after school based program within their school. |
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. was established in 2002 in order to build relationships which would foster not only positive changes in the lives of the children, but also result in having the opportunity to share the love of Christ with children who really need to know that God cares for them.
There are so many children want to be in the program, so if you have a heart for God and would like to mentor a student there is child who is waiting for you.
